Top Etiquette Tips For Tourists In Acapulco

An upcoming vacation almost always gives people much excitement. They look forward to making a happy and relaxing trip with loved ones and friends. Taking a much-needed break should not be so stressful as long as you plan ahead of your schedule and prepare your itinerary as well as all the things you want to bring along. Do not take for granted the important details and avoid starting your vacation on the wrong foot by doing the preparations in the last minute. That’s a big no-no and could just give you so much stress.

Experts suggest to plan a trip at least 6 to 8 weeks ahead. Set an appointment with a travel agency and apply for a passport or a visa if the country you will be visiting requires one. By this time, you can already start researching on the information about the country you are going to like the tourist spots, bars and restaurants, shopping places, historical spots and transportation. Don’t forget to learn about its laws, culture and health hazards.

With four weeks to go, you may prepare the clothes you will use taking into consideration the climate of the place you will be visiting. Bring comfortable clothes and shoes like sneakers and sandals if your trip needs a lot of walking and bring formal shoes if you will be attending some important gatherings. Check if you have batteries for your camera and bring extra ones for emergencies. Buy films in advance, too. Make sure also that your luggage is in good shape and if you plan to do a lot of shopping, better bring a foldable canvas bag where you will put in your goodies.

Around three weeks before your trip, do prepare the medical kit including medicines for stomach aches, allergies and headaches. Place those pills in a plastic container. Have your eyes checked if you need to change your eyeglasses and bring along a good pair of shades to protect your eyes from the harmful rays of the sun, notably if you’ll be going to a beach resort like Acapulco. Buy in advance your lotions and creams that you will be bringing for the trip. It’s best also to make an itinerary of your trip so everything will be smooth-sailing once you have arrived in your place of destination. Leave a copy of your itinerary to a close friend or relative who may need to know your schedule.

As your scheduled trip nears with two weeks to go, start packing your things. Place the heavier items at the bottom and the lighter ones on top. If you are bringing breakables, wrap them with shirts or towels and put them in between clothes. Be sure to put valuables and medicines in your carry-on baggage. Make sure, too, that when you get to your destination, someone or a service of the hotel you’ll be staying in will pick you up from the airport.

When you have arrived at destination, it’s praiseworthy to be courteous and friendly to the locals and other tourists. Make peace and avoid getting into trouble or arguments such as when you’re shopping or ordering food or drinks in a bar or restaurant. If you get excellent and efficient service from the hotel or restaurant, then do give tips to the staff as an incentive for them. They would be happy that their work is much appreciated by visitors.
