Top Entertainment Spots In Acapulco

Anywhere you go in Acapulco, you will surely be entertained by the mixture of people you see and meet day and night as well as the awesome view of nature – the sand and sea. Whether you are at the beach or strolling around town, this city offers so many things to visitors both the young and old, the straights and the gays.

In the hotel alone, you can already do so many things to keep you entertained. Some hotels have their own restaurants and nightclubs. But visiting the bars and restaurants along the main street, either during the day or night, would be a more exciting experience.

One popular luxury resort in Acapulco is the Las Brisas which houses several restaurants and bars offering live entertainment thereby greatly contributing to the city’s nightlife. The La Concha Restaurant and Bar is located inside the resort and offers a sumptuous gourmet cuisine. Before hitting the nightspots, make sure to ask about promotional materials in the reception centers, travel desk or concierge booths at your hotel which will give you information about special offers at various bars and nightclubs. Many discos waive their cover charge or offer discounts every now and then as a come-on for customers.

The Palladium on the hills of Las Brisas is the biggest nightclub which provides the best view of the Acapulco bay 160 feet below. It also has a great laser light show and some of the best disc jockeys giving the hottest new dance tracks. This is one place you should not miss if you want to experience nightlife in this world-famous resort.

One great way to enjoy the city’s nightlife is to visit the beachfront bars. Make your nights in town worth remembering by just enjoying the white sand and the amazing view while sipping your favorite cold drinks. The Baby Lobster Bar is a famous open-air bar on La Condesa beach. The bar has another branch along the Costera where most attractions are located. The Baby Lobster Bar along the Costera is surrounded by the best shops, restaurants, bars and discos in town.

The Playa Condesa located in the golden zone (Zona Dorado) is one the most popular beaches with lots of activity and many beachfront restaurants. If you are bored of the beach, you can do other stuff including shopping and dining at restaurants which are just nearby. This is also the spot where the pre-nightlife begins.

For those who enjoy dancing, the El Alebrije is the place to go to. It’s a hotspot along the Costera that also features disc jockeys and a drink-all-you-can promo. The bar is at the main upper level which also has leather seats and coffee tables great for relaxing. The basement features the dance floor which is most often full of bartenders serving tropical drinks to guests. Dance music at this place includes Spanish rock, salsa, meringue and American hip-hop and pop.

If you would like to enjoy a more relaxed entertainment and listen to classical music, then head to the Cultural Center of Acapulco. The Philharmonic Orchestra performs there every week. International film festivals like the French (late November) and Black (early June) film fests are also held in the city every year so it’s a good chance to catch the latest films from the other parts of the world during these events.
